The Merchant Fox Coral Orange Hammam

The Merchant Fox Hammams are skilfully woven by expert artisans in a small Turkish village. Combining historical hammam tradition with sustainable materials, in order to create a practical, versatile, and super absorbent piece.

Originally used as the traditional cloth in Turkish Hammam baths, hammam fabric has been conventionally woven on hand looms by local villagers for many generations, becoming a well respected family tradition and very resonant lifestyle for many local craftspeople.

Expertly produced with recycled materials, each of our hammams is woven on a Jacquard machine, using traditional style jacquard punch cards rather than modernised software, to be in keeping with these customary practices.  

Made with recycled materials and resources, including water being saved during the production process, by using up to 50% recycled textile waste as raw material.

A lightweight and contemporary version of a traditional design, The Merchant Fox Hammam makes the perfect addition to any interior space, providing an extra splash of colour to the living area. Not only that, but they are also light and compact enough to be used as the perfect beach towel, picnic blanket, or even draped around the shoulders on a cool summer evening.

Highly considered as an artisan product, with its intricate design and intriguing patterns, each piece is finished by hand twisting and knotting the tassels.
