PROVENANCE [ QUEEN'S AWARD ]
Fox Brothers are credited as the original creators of flannel. Fox have continued to improve the weaving process over the years, introducing new techniques with advances in technology in order to achieve the best quality possible and maintain the status as producers of the world's finest wool cloth.
This innovation culminated with the Queen's Award to Industry being presented to Fox in 2006, in recognition to the comprehensive research & development work, which lead to the production of the world’s lightest fine wool flannel. This flannel is woven with super 120’s wool in the Somerset mill and finished to the highest standard. Using luxury yarn spun in the North of England, and weighing a light 245 grams per meter, this cloth is the lightest flannel produced by Fox.
Ideal for suits and jackets this versatile cloth is now available in a vast selection of colours to tailor any occasion.
This new collection of colours range from Fox’s famous greys, through navy’s and blue to the discerning browns, on to deep wine and crimson red to name but a few.
